I'm not sure why, but I was a lot more careful in making sure that none of the wires came loose when I was moving my laptop around the third time.ħ) You should see text scrolling non-stop on your laptop through PuTTY/Termite/SecureCRT. Note: I fried 2 of these adapters before getting it to work the third time.

If the device is not being recognized, install the driver. Use a Windows computer - it makes life a lot easier. You will want to roll the copper wiring between your fingers so it makes a sharp point, and feed it through the appropriate holes. Note 2: I had trouble pulling the CMU out because of a little clip beside the left side of CMU (speedometer cover), you can apply pressure to pull that one clip out - similar to what you did with the trim.Ĥ) Follow the red text on this picture to connect the TX, RX, and ground wires.
